METSpouse National Launch
On 19 April 2017, Canada Company, in collaboration with Military Family Services, will be holding a celebration to formally launch the METSpouse Program. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us! All military spouses of Active, Reserve, and Veteran military service members are welcome!
As you know, the METSpouse program has been developed to connect spouses like you to a network of national Military Spouse Friendly Employers. We are happy to have our online-portal up and running. Spouses who have registered for METSpouse online through their Military Family Resource Centre are now able to access career development tools, Hot Jobs, Employer profiles and much more. The launch will serve as a great opportunity to celebrate the work that has been done and build program momentum with employer partners, spouses and the larger CAF community.
AGF Ltd. in Toronto has graciously offered to host the event, to publicly announce this valuable program to both the military family constituency and the Canadian public at large. The launch ceremony will take place from 0900 – 1600, and will include brief remarks from senior officials from the MRFC and Military Family Services.
Following the launch ceremony, you are invited to participate in our mini CareerConnect™ where you will have the opportunity to meet with prospective employers, discuss employment opportunities, and circulate your resume. Please forward this invitation onto other military spouses that you think may be interested. Spouses who have not yet registered for METSpouse will have an opportunity to do so at the launch event.
The METSpouse Program has already exceeded many of our goals, including the number of Employer Partners who have joined, and the number of mobile career opportunities they have promoted to military spouses. We sincerely appreciate your support of this program and hope that you are able to join us for this incredible event. The event is free. Come to AGF Ltd. on 19 April, meet prospective employers, other military spouses, and enjoy lunch and refreshments!
Please do not hesitate to contact Kerry Wheelehan, METSpouse Program Director, at email@example.com, or Marram Mohammad, METSpouse Assistant, at firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on the 19th!
